My GF has type 1 and is on the pump. I don't know much about this as i'm trying to educate myself as fast i can. We've been together about year and she recently got laid off from her job. She's been denied Medicare because she makes too much on unemployment (insane in my opinion) and her insulin is $450 a month. She's looking for a new job and has an appointment at the free clinic but the soonest they could get her in was in two months for a rating.
I was wondering if anyone had any other avenues of help with the insane cost of insulin?
Any help or opinions or anything would be appreciated.
