What are my risks of diabetes?

Here are some of my lab numbers from 2 years ago:

Fasting blood glucose: 98 (awful high, albeit within ref range)
Serum uric acid: 7.7 (again, on the high end of ref range)
Total Cholesterol: 181
HDL (good cholesterol): 73
LDL (bad cholesterol): 100 (slightly out of ref range)
Triglycerides: 41 (was told this is VERY healthy)

Can anyone draw conclusions from this?

A little background: I am 25, male, physically active, and I eat healthier than most people my age. One of my grandparents had Type II, but wasn't diagnosed till age 45 or 50. Other than that, nobody in my family has it. I am at a healthy weight. I am asymptomatic, and I tested my urine for glucose (out of paranoia. lol), and it always tests negative.

Re: What are my risks of diabetes?

Sometimes one can never predict getting Diabetes. As far as your numbers at present, they look very good both for cholesterol and fasting BS. I'm sure if you keep with your diet and exercise you may never, or at least for a long time have a problem.

I always had low BS and my cholesterol is pretty good and yet 2 years ago I came down with an A1C of 6.4. Both my Dr. and myself were stunned as I have no weight issue, didn't change my diet so who knows.

Best of wishes...JJ...
