Unhappy High levels of Microalbumin

I recently had a UTI with blood visible in the urine. My doctor had it lab tested and it came back "out of range 2089 H <30mcg/mg creat - confirmed by repeat analysis." He put me on a 7 day dose of 2x daily antibiotcs. I am not diabetic. My sisters are Type 1 diabetics.

My questions are can a UTI cause such high levels and can it cause kidney damage?

I have an appointment with a specialist in 1 1/2 weeks.

Inn April I underwent extensive testing at a transplant center to be a kidney donor. Once my b/p was under control they said it would have been a go. Now this! I'm very concerned
