| Re: Metformin depression?
Hi!
I have never heard of Metformin being associated with a side effect of depression. So, I very much doubt that has taken place in your instance.
I also view your physician's use of the term "prediabetic" with displeasure. "Prediabetes" should not be applied to a pathology which requires medical intervention in the form of an oral hypoglycemic agent. I very much doubt if he coded his diagnosis, to your insurer, as a "pre" anything, since that, rather clearly, could have interfered with his compensation and your own ability to receive insurance coverage for the physicians services and for the medications he, or she, prescribed.
The blood sugar has a very complex relationship to the emotional makeup of the human personality. Please seek the best professional assistance that you can obtain.
I hope you feel better!
