ALS & Higher Blood Sugar Levels

I have Type 2 Diabetes and controlled this by diet and an exercise program.
On July 1, 2010 I was diagnosed with ALS. I have since had to stop my exercise program. My ALS is progressing "slowly". 1 year ago mt blood sugar levels started rising. My VA doctor started me on Diabetic medication. My AC1 in my last blood test was 6.1.

My concern is that my fasting, in the morning, blood sugar level is around 150. My other readings are higher then they used to be.

My question is this what normally happens with ALS and not being able to exercise?
