I don't know much about Diabetes .. but my partner of 8 months has had it for many years.. He's now 57 yrs.
I believe he has hesitated in the past with meeting women, due to the Diabetes, thinking no woman would want him..
I have surprised him, and he seems very happy with our relationship
He's on a medical pump which feeds thru a tube into his stomach..
it means he doesn't have to watch his food all the time..
is careful he doesn't overdo the sweet stuff but I have encouraged him to be a wee bit daring at times..
He pricks his finger in the a.m ..measures it , he just puts the insulin in, sets it up and he's sorted.. til it runs out again..
he's very focused on making his lunch every night.. tho Sometimes he gets sick of cooking for himself at teatime.. , so this is where I come in handy when I go up to visit him..
He gets very tired after work, and this is where I come in also..
We go to bed early & I give him someone to cuddle into.. But it's nice..
So I DO understand SOME of the trials you are going thru..
It's not easy at times but you keep on battling..
I take my hat off to all those Diabetics out there.. You deserve a medal !!
