My husband is type 2 diabetes. He takes prednisone for lung problems. We are weaning him off that. It raises his blood sugar too high. Any suggestions for lowering it? And for getting off pred quickly? Thank you!

As a transplant patient (never on pred) I can tell you that there is no quick way to get off prednisone. It is very important to do it very slowly as there can be some significant consequences. Best of luck weaning him off it and I hope the blood sugars come down soon.
