| Pre-Diabetes Type 2 ONGLYZA question
Has anyone been told to take Onglyza for a pre-diabetes (2) ALC diagnosis?
Apparently I do not have diabetes, as my test was not in that range, but my doc wants me to take Onglyza as a preventative and it is very expensive and will put me into the "donut hole" where medicare pharmacy will not pay. It sells for over $500 per month. (I don't pay that with my pharmacy plan, but it is a good chunk monthly $30).
There is no generic for this med. I have not been told to take a formal lab test where they test your sugar tolerance.
I have no symptoms that I am aware of, feel fine, and do everything I've always done.
I'd like to hear your opinions.
