i'm 14, for 2 or more weeks i've been feeling tingling in my arms, hands, feet, and legs. after a week i started feeling fatigued, nauseous, bloated, abdominal cramping, heart burn, constipation, dry mouth and burping a lot. I eat greasy foods. i exercise in gym class a lot. and i started taking vitamins 2 days ago to see if its lack of vitamins but i still feel tingling, i'm really worried or maybe i'm just paranoid? and can diabetes kill? btw my next doctors appointment is in a month or 2 :/
My legs felt numb right before I was diagnosed, but I didn't have many of the other symptoms you have. It's important to check it out, though. I would waste not time either. Better to be on the safe side.
It's probably not diabetes. I was recently diagnosed with Type II diabetes. My most noticeable symptoms were extreme weight loss (about 40 lbs.), muscle loss, fatigue, depression, extremely dry mouth/throat and a torturous thirst. I would drink a 16 oz. glass of milk followed by a 16 oz. glass of gatorade and still be thirsty. I would have to wake up from sleep to go to the bathroom. I would be so thirsty, I would drink a quart of water before I went back to bed. I would go through a gallon of milk, a gallon of gatorade and a gallon of (low sugar) grape juice every 3 days.
Unless your symptoms are similar to these, you're probably okay as far as diabetes is concerned. You may want to consider your diet and try cutting out as much fried food. It could be as simple as that.
Good luck and I hope you resolve your illness soon.
