Numbness, dizziness, vision problems
About 2 months ago I started to get decreased sensation in my left side and later also my right arm and face. This was later accompanied by dizziness and flashing/blind spots in my vision. The spots are in both eyes but in different places.
The numbness has since decreased significantly but the dizziness and vision problems have remained. The blind spots are constant but the dizziness gets better and worse although rarely disappears completely. I also get extreme fatigue at various points throughout the day.
I've had an mri, lumbar puncture and a wide variety of blood tests which all came back normal. The only thing that was found was a bleed in both eyes (although a second doctor only found it in one eye).
I don't know how to piece this puzzle together. My symptoms are much worse after eating (especially this morning when it was a colleague's birthday and I had a large slice of cake, my face went numb about 15 mins later and I felt very dizzy/tired). Could they be caused by blood sugar levels? I had the quick pinprick test in hospital upon arrival and they were normal then. My dad tested me at home (he has type 2) when I came home from work once and they were at level 4. I don't know if this is high/low or what for a 'normal' person. This was at 5.45pm when I had lunch at 1pm and then a coffee with sugar at 3pm.
Until 2 months ago I felt and was healthy although I have always seemed to feel faint before other people after not eating for just 3 or so hours. I also often have a fast heartbeat when feeling relaxed otherwise. I am slim and enjoy walking and cycling but I have never had stamina for running etc.
