Made stupid mistake now I'm scared -- will I be OK
I have been so distracted lately because of my mother's health problems. I injected insulin about an hour ago now I realize: I forgot to load the syringe with insulin. I injected 15 units of air into my thigh. I did not hit a vein, capillary, or muscle. The area does not hurt. It is not swollen or discolored. I feel fine except for scared. Am I going to be all right?

You are going to be fine. You have to worry about air in a major artery, but not in the fatty tissue of your body. It will be absorbed. Besides, 15 units is not much at all.
