I am a 63 yr old female who was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 1990 and have never had any bad lab reports.
3 months ago, my lab results showed my GFR at 56
My test 2 weeks ago, shows it at 48.
My A1c is 6.0
I was wondering if anyone else has this issue and should I b extremely worried, like I am now?
I wasn't advised of this until I called to get refills on my diabetic meds and was told I couldn't as a result of this test and was to stop what meds I had left. I can't see my doctor for any explainations or advise for 3 weeks.
Also, if you have had this happen, can it be reversed at all?
