Can pain make blood glucose rise?

My blood glucose readings for the last two months have been consistently between 80-110. I overdid it exercising and now my back hurts a lot(sore muscles). My glucose is now around 200. Can pain do this? Nothing else has changed.

Absolutely pain can make your blood sugar go up. In fact, any sort of stress can do this. It should come down soon, so don't worry too much. Hope the aches and pains fade soon too.

Thank you, I've read infection can. My pain is probably minimal compared to many other humans, but it is constant, and annoying (osteopenia), and frequent teeth abscesses. Gotta get the rest of the teeth pulled soon, and wait for the D & Calcium, plus Evista, to 'fill in" the bones I guess.
