Hello everyone, I have been looking for a decent needle-free injector for my insulin and after checking out a couple, I tried the Comfort-In needle-free injector and I must say, this works well. Its only around $240 for a one time fee, and the recurring cost is barely nothing. I can even put other materials in this injector if needed.
Check it out, the company is EternityHealthcare. co m , and I highly recommend it.
To anyone that hates needle, this is a gift from god.
These have been around for decades. You can get skin thickening and problems with absorption and dosing. I found my pump much better for avoiding needles (one shot every 3 days).
Cora- This is off the subject, but how did you have a pancreas transplant? I didnīt think that was possible. Since you have had it, have you had to take your insulin or are you completely free of it? I was just curious. Apparently, my pancreas does absolutely nothing now. Just hangs out. Let me know how that went for you. Thanks!

They only do pancreas transplants for 2 reasons (in type 1s). First, if you've are getting or have had a kidney transplant so you will need the antirejection meds anyway. Or, if you are so hypoglycemically unaware that you are a danger to yourself or to others, then they will do it too. They have been doing them for many decades, but now with better meds, they are more successful and are becoming more common. I have now been insulin free for almost 5 years and I'm very happy. I still test on occasion, but I don't get surprises the way I used to.
Please don't think of your pancreas as "dead". It still does a lot for you including releasing many digestive enzymes that make eating possible. Believe it or not, insulin production is only about 2% of what the organ does. It's a versatile little organ!
