Re: Diabetes

What issues of having diabetes are you having problems coping with? Is it food issues? Glucose levels? Mealtimes? Give us a few details on what you are finding difficult and maybe someone can pass along advice. What type of diabetes do you have?

Re: Diabetes

I also have trouble coping with it. If I don't eat every 2-3 hours my BG get's low and I feel terrible. It is very hard to eat every 2-3 hours.

Re: Diabetes

I have issues coping with it and I have type 1 diabetes. Its affecting me beyond what I ever imagined, I get swollen feet and I have also realised that I can not even wear high heels as before because of my swollen feet.

Re: Diabetes

Lidi, how long have you had diabetes? How swollen are your legs? The swelling could be due to circulatory issues, hormones, or kidney issues. Have you spoken to your doctor? If it is kidney or cardiac related, cutting back on salt in your diet will help tremendously. I had the same thing happen to me many years ago and cutting back on salt helped. In may case, it was my kidneys.
