diabetic

I am a diabetic. I was diagnose with diabetes when i was pregnant with my last child. I weigh 130 lbs and when i read up on diabetis-it seems as if only obese persons end up with diabetis. I am type 2 and I am on gloupage and dimicron. Coud this be reverse

It's a myth that only obese people get diabetes. While many folks who deal with the disease do need to lose weight, it is certainly not all of the population. Some people can go into remission by cutting back on carbs and exercising more. But again, this is not true for all. In some cases you may need meds no matter what you do.

Cora's right. And, for some reason, having gestational diabetes puts you at much higher risk for Type 2 diabetes, no matter how thin you are.
