Hello, I guess you probably use 2 egg whites for each egg in the recipe. Did you know that you can use applesauce in place of the margarine/butter? I tried it in my brownies and it works great.

I made low-fat chocolate chip cookies two days ago with plain egg whites. But I heard of the applesauce theory and I was wondering if that works in chocolate chips? I'm also making sugar cookies as well, so please let me know because I think that would be much healthier for my diet. And if I do use applesauce in replacement for the egg/egg whites, how much should I use? a cup or so?

I've used applesauce successfully in chocolate chip cookies. i usually use around a quarter cup for each egg in the recipe.
