Well it is good news that I don't have cancer or tumors or whatever the CT scan checks for. But that still doesn't explain why I have poor appetite and losing weight fast. The doctor said nothing about helping me gain weight. The whey protein I drink kinda makes my stomach burn and it comes out in my BM. My BM is formed and it is not diarehhia. Within the last 5 days I've lost about 3 more pounds. The Dr. wants me to visit him in 4 weeks. I don't think I can wait that long, my body may give out by then. Should I go to a dietrician, an internal specialist, a normal doctor? I really don't know what to do except for live as I lose weight and eat poorly until I pass away. Should I have more specific blood tests done? Should I get a fecal fat test done? My Aunt was a head nurse at a hosipital for many years and she mentioned that a patient of hers kept losing weight and they did a sonagram on her and found out that her gallbladder was not even working.
Also I thought maybe I have a bad case of dead normal flora causing bloating and super fullness and sometimes quesyness everytime I eat (for up to 3 hours) and that could be the reason??? I bought an expensive bottle of probiotics today and I will see if that will work.
I mentioned to my GI doctor that I may have dymotility. The only symptom I don't have is vomiting or chronic nausea. Has anybody had dysmotility without vomiting or chronic nausea? Well the doctor said that I don't have dysmotility because losing weight and poor appetite is not a symptom. AND I clearly read in several website pages that people with dysmotility will loose weight and have poor appetite. Is he just not listening to me??
Any input from you guys would be cool. Help me to stay alive.
Did you ever try giving up that whey protein? Maybe it's not agreeing with your digestive system - I've heard of that happening to others...just a thought...
If I were you, I think I would be trying to get a second opinion. Another doctor might look at your symptoms in a way that your current doctor has not thought of. Some doc's welcome a second opinion, some will be offended, but that really doesn't matter, you do it for you, not the doctor. Good Luck
