I need to change my eating habits, but I'm not too sure how to go about doing so.
I just reviewed what I eat in a typical day, and it seems that its mostly carbohydrates... I don't know how to cut some of them out, since it seems like if I'm not eating them, I'm hungry all the time. However, I need to cut some out to help me lose some body fat -> exercise isn't giving me the results I need.
Your in the same boat as me.I have started using fitday its free and you enter what you eat and it has a chart to tell you how many carbs and other things you have had to eat or you can do as I do and enter some of things I plan on eating that day.
I am using the 1200 calorie plan which is you eat up to 1200 on a day you dont work out and 1400-1500 on a work out day.My doctor just said you can stick with 1200 but try not to go over 1400 and work out 30 minutes a day.I use the low GI veggies and fruits that are on south beach.I like it I've only done this a few weeks and I am done 7 pounds. And make sure you take a multi vitiamin.I take from wal mart One source Pure Performance.I had NO energy and this plan has put a peep in my step now I dont sit around all day.
This is how the chart reads for 1200 caloires
protein 75-100g
carbs 120-135
total fat 40
sat.fat 13g
sugar 30g
1500 calories
protein 94-125g
carbs 150-169
total fat 50g
sat.fat 17g
sugar 38g
You can enter these limits on fitday and after or before you eat it will show on a chart where you stand with your daily intake.I enter somethings I think I want to eat and I see its over my daily limits so I back off and pick something else. You can a fudge pop or fat free pudding at night.I just couldnt do south beach and atkins.I couldnt think straight on those plans I need my carbs to think.Good Luck.
I hope this helps.
Hello, The only thing that I would do is to change the 2 bagels to 1 bagel, and I think you'll see a big difference. Also you could have more a variety of vegies at night instead of having a salad every night...Maybe one night a salad, another night string beans, another night brussel sprouts, etc. I am assuming that you are eating lean meats and not the heavy duty fatty stuff.
