Hi. Does anyone know how to grind whole flaxseed if I don't have a coffee grinder? Would it work to put it in a blender? Thanks for your help.

I bought mine at Wallmart for $12.00 and something, and it works like a charm!

Thanks for both of your replys, but I really don't want to BUY a coffee grinder. Isn't there anything else I can use besides that?

Sneak a bag into your local supermarket and stick it in their coffee grinder...ESPRESSO or TURKISH GRIND should do the trick.
It will taste a bit mocha-ish and the next person will who grinds coffee will get a gagacious pound of bitter horror, but that's the only think I can think of.

Nope, your blender won't do the trick.

Not for the price atleast. There are special grinders or mills but they usually are very expensive.

I really don't see a blender being able to do much of anything with flax seed.
