Need some help at the holidays...

As everyone knows, this is a hard time of the year to keep your weight down (for most). The problem I am having is the few weeks before Christmas. I have lost almost 30lbs since last Christmas (320 down to about 292) through hard work and diet.

My weakness is the weekends and now these holidays. I go to work, and instead of eating the lunch I or my wife has made, I get invited out and then I am eating bad food. Trying so hard, but it is very hard. Need some advice and support.

When you go out to eat, you can still try and select the healthier choices, even the fast food restaurants have salads and low fat dressing. Chili's one of my favorites restaurants has added several entrees that are under 15 grams of fat.
I also believe that Applebees and O'Charley's have entrees that are approved by weight watchers. Good Luck I know this is a hard time of the year to have to watch what you eat.

There is a trick to not gaining weight over the holidays. What you do is to make the other 2 meals you eat light meals and do aerobic exercise for 30-50 min. each night. Trying to pick the lesser of the evils as the previous poster mentioned will help, but it is a difficult task when all those goodies are there. You have to remember to keep your portions reasonable.

For example: If you're invited to a really big luncheon with nothing but "bad food," eat half a cantalope for breakfast and a big salad for supper.

Which will leave you starving in the evening, and eating like a pig. Not to mention how unhealthy it is to get most of your calories in in the evening.
