Question on Vitamin C supplement
I began taking a vitamin C supplement 500mg daily and several days later I had some small red bumps break out on my chest that itched. I thought maybe it was the supplement because my body wasn't use to that much vitamin C, so I stopped taking it. The bumps went away. Does anyone know if vitamin C supplements can do this? 500mg a day didn't seem like a lot to me I also saw supplements that contained 1000mg. Also, do you know if you can break the supplements in half? Maybe if 500mg is too much I'll try taking 250mg. The supplement brand is Nature Made and it's a timed release caplet.
