Has anyone found a low carb pasta that tastes good like regular pasta? Have tried a couple and they taste awful. Need to stay low carb and avoid "whites" like white bread, pasta, rice etc. But I love pasta! So, if you know of something please let me know.
Thanks.
Once I tried low carb pasta and threw it out. It was beyond awful. I also purchased at the same store low carb rolls which was like eating a sponge. Threw that out as well. A low carb diet means no pasta. This is the reason why I prefer a calorie diet.

Pasta is a nice low calorie meal that can be enjoyed once in a while unless your on the Atkins diet. I've tried the low carb pasta out of curiosity and it tased pretty bad.
The ones that are REALLY low carb taste awful and the ones that SAY they have a "special" way to make their carbs not count are lying, but at least their pasta tastes like pasta (at a HUGE markup.)
NO PASTA was the single worst aspect of Atkins for me. Yeccch, never again.
Miss 18: I agree with the Whole Wheat. I just purchased a Whole Wheat Spaghetti which actually has less calories (180 for 2oz dry versus 220) plus it has a very large fiber content plus lower carbs. This doesn't help the original poster who's on Atkins but is good for those on calorie diets.
Dreamfields pasta is excellent and low carb. I've tried the Atkins brand which was awful and a few others that were equally as terrible. Dreamfields come in a black box. They make macaroni, spaghetti and penne.
I also like Dreamfields---you can't taste the difference. DeCecco whole wheat pasta is excellent. I tried other whole wheat brands and most of them were disgusting.
