Nutrition Question-Weak/Tired/Feelings

Ok-
Even eating a big nice meal 3 times a day, a fruit snack in between brkfst and lunch, i still feel weak and tired during my 6th period class (after lunch)

What are some things i may be lacking... Blood sugar levels? Iron? Im not sure.. but it would be great to stop these damb learning blockers.

(i drink ALOT of water)

Re: Nutrition Question-Weak/Tired/Feelings

What are you eating for lunch and all the other meals?

Also, are you doing any vigorous activity before or just after lunch ie PE??

Re: Nutrition Question-Weak/Tired/Feelings

Have you been eating like this for a while or it this a new way of eating for you?? I'm asking because when people go from very high fat/carb/calorie diets to lower ones they get withdrawal symptoms.

The only thing I can see that would cause a slump is the bread. could you possibly substitute bread for brown rice, quinoa or cooked oat groats?? They release the sugar a lot slower and keep you alert.

Also, are you getting enough greens and enough enzymes. Also, are you getting enough fat in your diet?? The brain absolutely NEEDS fat to function (esp something good like flax seed oil)

Also, are you cooped up all day?? Maybe you need a little fresh air - nothing like stale air to make you feel sluggish.

What are your portion sizes like? Are you eating too big a portion? Processing a meal takes your body a lot of energy. Are you chewing your food enough? Its hard work for the body to process food that hasn't been chewed correctly.

Re: Nutrition Question-Weak/Tired/Feelings

Are you taking Addrel for ADD? That could be making you tired because you may not need it. Do you exercise?

Re: Nutrition Question-Weak/Tired/Feelings

Were you ever tested for anemia? It sounds like that could be it, but I'd see a doctor for sure because it's not normal if your eating healthy.
