Serving of nuts?

How much is one serving of nuts? Is a regular shot glass equal to an ounce of nuts? And is that the same for nut butters?
Thanks!

Re: Serving of nuts?

I weighed almonds and 1 oz = 13 almonds

Most likely almond butter would be more concentrated.

almond butter may be more concentrated but would not contain the same levels of food enzymes that raw almonds would contain. food enzymes are important too, with people focusing only on levels of vits and minerals, and people do not not eat enough raw food. eat more raw nuts and seeds, drink raw juices, eat raw salads, eat sprouted live food etc.

Re: Serving of nuts?

A one ounce shot glass of almond BUTTER would equal an ounce almost precisely, but a glass of almonds would be FAR less because of all the air between the pieces.

Re: Serving of nuts?

Is a normal shot glass about 1 oz? Do you think it's about right to say that one nut has close to 9 or 10 calories??
