hello. I have read that soy protein is lower BV than animal protein sources because of a lack of Methionine.
Can we assume the same to be true for rice? If so, would taking a Methionine supplement with your rice/soy protein supplement make it better? Could it actually increase the BV if we took EAAs that the plant proteins are low in, in a pill form? Or could we even crush up the pills into powder, and drop it in our protein?
Im just trying to work with vegetarian protein here.
soy is a complete protein, so no supplementation should be necessary. with other vegetable protein sources, combining at meals is not necessary as long as a variety of foods is consumed.
