As long as it is all natural, and not alot of sugar added, I guess its OK!

Re: Protein After Workout?

I would recommend whey protein shakes. You can buy them in Vanilla, Strawberry or Chocolate. Just put one scoop into 12 oz of skim milk. It tastes really good (to me) and it satisfies my sugar cravings for the day.

Re: Protein After Workout?

take a look on the exercise and fitness board. there is a post to do with hi-GI foods being okay after workouts. apparantly because your muscles have been so exhausted of glucose, the sugar floods back into them rather than being turned in to fat, energy or being stored as glycogen in the liver. the dudes on there were talking about how its the only healthy time to consume white sugar. very interesting. just checked its on the second page on the board entitled "Really? High G.I.- index post work out foods...".

alex.
