| Re: Dream Fields
Vinny,
You gotta BELIEVE to make it work; like in Santa or the tooth fairy.
The DREAMFIELD Nutritional info on the package says:
Per Serving (looks to be a 3 ounce serving):
Total Carbs: 62 grams
Calories 300 (exactly what 3 ounce of any pasta would have)
Total Carbs: 62 grams
Fiber: 7 grams
Sugar: 3 grams
Protein: 7 grams
Then they give some fantasy talk about "we blend them in a SPECIAL way" so you don't have to count the carbs." They say they use a special process to remove the impact of these carbs and they comply with FDA guidlines (of course they do, that's why the package says 62 grams carbs and 300 calories with no mention of their "magic" 8, or 5 carbs, depending on the country.)
So, like I said, the wheat is there, the semolina is there, the CALORIES are all there...only the MAGIC is missing, the consumer provides that by paying several times the cost of regular pasta for MAGIC regular pasta (here called DREAMFIELDS.).
There's no free lunch.
