Carbs Before protein?

isnt it better to eat carbs before eating protein in your meal? like before eating eggs... you eat your cereal?.... or no.

Re: Carbs Before protein?

In Dr. Perricones book he said to always eat your protein first. Why I don't know. Maybe it processes quicker than carbs.

Re: Carbs Before protein?

i think the reason is that the protein has to have adequate exposure to hydrochloric acid in the stomach for proper digestion. however, for most people with normal, healthy, strong stomachs its not really considered very necessary. its only really relevant in big meat eaters, where alot of meat is being digested in one go. vegies fear not- your food is all protein and carbs combined in foods anyway.

i assume you mean in the context of protein and carbs?
if you're speaking in a more general context then maybe visit the macdonalds appreciation board. try googling it.
