Changing my diet...

Hey all --

After years of eating semi-healthy, yet still making poor dietary decisions..
( Heavy meals before sleeping, Fast food lunch/dinners, not eating enough fruit/vegetables, weekend drinking binges.. ) i decided to make a big change in my diet because i was feeling so run down and sluggish.

I'm intaking more fiber, lots of fruits and vegetables, good fats, whole grains, lean meats, just cheese on the dairy side, lots of water, and i've cut out all the refinded foods, sugars, bad fats, red meat.. etc. I've also been doing 30 min of aerobic activity 4 times a week.

I've only been doing this ( the better diet thing, i was doing exercise before ) for about 4 days now, and its like my body HATES me?? I get dizzy spells, mind fogginess, cold hands and feet, lack of energy... all the symptoms come and go... but i thought if i changed for the better, wouldnt my body immediately change for the better as well?

Is this normal for my body to feel bad before it gets better?
Anyone else experience this?

Any input would be great...

Thanks

Drew

Re: Changing my diet...

Be careful if you have drastically increased your fiber intake in a short amount of time. With fiber you want to slowly add more and more to your diet, not just all in one day, or even a week. It can be very rough on your colon.
