Ok- i am 6"1 and weigh in at 131-133. I am underweight. 17 years old.
I eat healthy- but LOVE breakfast foods. I have huge breakfasts and i can never get full enough....
like today for instance...
3 Mini pancakes w/sugarfree syrup
1 Piece wheat toast (L) With fatfree/cc
2 Eggs scrambled, with some sausage and onions (light butter)
A glass of water
like 6 raisens, and a tiny slice of bannana
And im still hungry in 30 minites after... I think my body packs food for breakfast cause i dont eat enough at other meals...
Maybe: is there any way i can eat smaller breakfasts that will KEEP me not hungry; oatmeal doesnt work for me anymore and fruits i have tried... Maybe a hamburger... lol. And yes i know "lots of carbs" but hey, help me out here.
You probably need more fat and protein in your breakfasts. The pancakes and sugarfree syrup are nothing- you are NOT going to fill up on those. The eggs are better, as well as the sausage, but you should likely use regular butter and regular cream cheese. Also, have a glass of milk instead of water and I don't get the 6 raisins and slice of banana? Have the whole banana or a plum or grapes- raisins do not fill you up and a slice of banana wont either. Try this next time:
1 glass milk (2%)
2 slices ww toast
regular butter/margarine (plus jam and other condiments like ketchup for eggs if you like)
sausage/bacon/ham (if you fry it or whatever, use canola OIL or REGULAR butter)
1 whole banana OR 1 whole apple OR 1 whole orange etc
1 yogurt (like the little packs you can buy in multiples of 8 or so in the store)
If you want pancakes or waffles or danishes or cinnamon buns, etc, substitute the toast for pancakes (or whatever), keep the (regular)butter and add syrup if it goes with(sugarfree isnt necessary but if you like it..)
Also consider an omelet in place of 2-3 eggs- add some veggies, cheese, ham/turkey, etc and you've got a great breakfast!

also its because you'r underwieght..you'r body wants food and, lots of it..eat eat..I was like that about 1 year ago..i was eating like crazy, tho i was underweight, now i feel im at my normal weight and, im not as hungry..i also put on some nice clean fat..
I also noticed that you posted earlier about breakfast guidelines and the response was that you should cut down on fat in your meal. I know this advice above goes against the previous advice, but keep in mind that you are only 17, and are underweight. If those stats had been included before, the responses may have been different. You do need fat in your meals to keep you full, as well as protein. the breakfast you posted on the other thread (including the bagel, etc) is FINE to have, and if it kept you full then there is nothing wrong with that...
I think its the excess of carbs that is making you hungry soon after you eat. Carbs have the insidious affect of making you feel wonderfully full and satiated right after you eat only to feel ravenous within a hour or two as your blood sugar plummets.
How about more protein such as more eggs, fish etc and have either the toast OR the pancakes. Also, have something with a little fat ie yoghurt (live, plain) avocado, fish, nuts etc coz fat will make you feel fuller for longer (as long as its the good type)
I once was talking to a holistic doctor who specializes in nutritional healing and was telling him that I always feel hungrier AFTER I eat than I do before!! He told me its because I was eating the wrong thing - probably something too high in simple carbs. He was right. I changed my eating habits and I'm no longer the person in the group saying 'any of you guys hungry?'!!
Good luck and good for you being so responsible about food at such a young age.
