Are there medications you can take to gain weight? (provided that diet and exercise have not worked thus far).

Well, there are no medications specifically used for weight gain, unless you want to consider protein supplements available in health stores.

Of course, many medications have a side effect of weight gain, but that's a drastic way to gain weight.

Couldn't you do those high calorie protein shakes?? How is your thyroid? Doesn't a hyperactive thyroid contribute to weight loss?? (or something like that!!)

you can get muscle and weight gainers which contain protein and carbohydrate. a hyperactive thyroid does contibute to weight loss indeed. taking kelp has a NORMALISING effect on the thyroid gland.
