Soda Pop Addiction

I have a friend who is addicted to Soda Pop. She used to drink Mountain Dew and switched over to Sierra Mist (7-Up Clone) and thinks that somehow this is a big improvement. She has a case under her desk at work, a case in her car and always has pop when she goes out to eat. She hates diet and drinks the full sugar stuff and drinks one after another.

Anyone know if excessive/prolonged Soda Pop drinking has any physical effects on the body (besides obesity) - ex: diseases linked to it or body breakdown?

Yep,

An endless input of sugar is nearly as bad as any addiction as you can have.

Re: Soda Pop Addiction

I know that pop rots the teeth, creates obesity, and is a bunch of non-nutritional empty calories, but are there any studies that have been done that I can site on long term pop consumption?
