I have absolutly no idea. It is just something warm and light to put in your belly and it just always makes me feel better!!

Have you ever heard of the drink called "Hot Toddy?" It would help my cold immensely.
here is some others
Citrus fruits
vitamin c, zinc, echinacea
lots of fluids
Ginger(tea is great)
Hot and spicey foods! Hope this helps!

OH I forgot........ You can get a drink called emergen-C. It is a powder packet loaded with all sort of vitamins and it works great. Lots of flavors and you just add water and its not bad at all! You can get it at Trader Joes or some drug stores. And there is another on called AIRBORNE I have never used that one but I hear it works great as well for colds!!!
Too me a while to think of anything other than chicken soup, hmmmm maybe I am hungary?!?

i too have a cold, and my head is hurting (maybe because i have severe cold or even sinusitis)
I can't smell and taste, my voice is different ( i sound sick)
Is milk bad? I'm starting to have cough too, with phlegm

I would drink warm broth, juice, tea, as warm as you can stand becuase the warm fluids will help break up the chest and nasal congestion. Also, a nice hot shower helps too, so take good deep breaths while showering.

Lenin thanks, my mom used to tell me that but i dont quite believe her hehe. From now on, not milk until i get better.
jogordon thanks, i drank hot soup yesterday, and it didn't soothe my cold...maybe mine is the worst.. i can't even smell and taste.

hehe, yup
thanks... still a bit sick in the mornings but after about 3 hours it gets much better and i've been drinking a lot of hot liquids
