Lightbulb Pizza?

I was always led to believe that pizza was really bad for you, but is it really? I've never seen the nutritional facts for pizza, could anyone provide them?

Also, how much pieces of pizza is enough for one serving?

Re: Pizza?

It really depends on the pizza. Some can be alright nutritionally, whereas some can be pretty brutal. Most large chains have nutritional information on their websites, or you can just google the name of the restaurant+calories. A serving also depends on the size of the slices...it could be anywhere from 1-3 slices, but there is no set serving as the nutritional info is provided per slice and not per 'serving' like on packaged foods.

Re: Pizza?

Thank you very much for the reply!! I think I'm just gonna have 3 or 4 slices, is that okay? It's a square pizza...

Re: Pizza?

lol..Mr. know it all..that's what tigergolf is asking...do they fit into the scheme, and what is the nutritional value..

If 3/4 slices is what you usually have, and you are full but not TOO full, then go for it!

Re: Pizza?

have you ever tried making a home made pizza? i do it quite often, and it can work out a lot healthier than shop bought ones or take aways. you can put veggies and lean meat on, and just experiment. and it wont contain things like artificial flavourings and preservatives. you could even use low fat cheese on it to keep it low cal.
good luck

Yes, my aunt makes homemade pizza from time to time...it's VERY good! I actually like it better than pizza from like Pizza Hut, etc. Thanks for the reply!

Re: Pizza?

I think pizza is one of the best junk foods there is, take that for what it's worth though lol.
