Hi tianna ... and thank for joining up for our buddy system

I've always felt when you have support, or someone keeping you motivated, it makes things alot easier.
I think you are approaching this routine and goal in the right manner. What I have always done is to do my arobic, or cardio if you will, exercises first. I use a stair climber here (because that is what I have) to get my heart rate up, and to get my blood flwoing good. I then do some stretching to warm up the muscles and to avoid injury to a muscle or a joint. After the stretching, I do my routine with my free weights .... some stretching afterwords to help keep the muscles from cramping.
It depends on what you want to achieve from the weights as to how much weight you use. To tone the muscle, use lighter weights and do more reps. To build the muscle, use more weight, and do as many reps as you can without injurying the muscle. Make sure you breath properly, and concentrate on your technique. This is very important.
One concern I had with your post was, you wanted to loose the weight real quick. Try not to loose weight to quickly. Make sure you eat properly, drink plenty of water, and the weight will come off. Also remember, if you are building muscle, the weight will not come off as quick, as muscle weighs more then fat. Just be sure to feed your body well, with all the exercise you are putting it through, it needs the energy.
I find when I really get into my routine, I tend to start eating a lot more then I normally do, because I am burning so much more fat and energy.
Good luck ... and again .. Welcome!
