Post Hollywood Diet

I always wanted to try the Hollywood Diet. My neighbor said she tried it and lost 6 pounds in 2 days (she also cheated). Her friend tried it and lost 15 pounds in 2 days. I would like to try it but I have a thyroid condition and taking medication for it. My Thyroid is back to normal because of the medication. I was wondering if I can take the Hollywood Diet or because of the thyroid condition, I shouldn't try it. Do you know if this diet is safe to use even though I have a thyroid condition?

Thank You

Bernice

I've tried it and lost 4 lbs. because I cheated, even though it was with salads. The problem with it is that it's juice and you can eat absolutely nothing. Unless you have extreme amounts of willpower I wouldn't recomend it...Also I've read in other people's posts that you gain them right back because what you loose it's usually water weight.

You can buy any 100% juice at your local grocery store and do this diet. Don't spend the 25 bucks when you can spend 3 to get the same thing. But you can only drink juice, nothing to eat. This is called a juice fast and should only be done a few days at a time. And yes, it is water weight, and will most likely to be gained back. Good luck if you decide to do it. And about the thyroid problem, I would ask your doctor if he thinks it is a good idea. My mom takes an ephedra supplement, and she has a thyroid disorder, but this is strongly discouraged. I don't think a juice diet would hurt, but I am not a doctor. So, I would ask before starting any diet.
