My boyfriend is trying to lose 20-30 pounds. He's doing the Slimfast diet (morning and afternoon and then eating dinner). But at the same time, he's still drinking alcohol (beer and mixed drinks). During one week, he probably has on average, 10 drinks. To me, that is defeating the purpose of dieting. What do you think? Thanks!
i guess its all really relative. im in college and 10 drinks a week doesnt seem like that much, after all they say that 2 drinks a day is good for the heart. either way thats about 1000 calories, not a whole lot. it also depends on how stringent hes keeping his diet. even if he cuts out those 10 drinks, his body will let him know it, by making him more hungry. if he can cut them out without replacing them with other calories he'll lose weight a bit faster.
