Hi - I have been on the Atkins diet for about 9 weeks and lost 24 pounds, but now I am starting to feel very restricted in foods and losing motivation. I would like to switch to a way of eating that I feel I can live with for the rest of my life. Anyone have any suggestions on a good healthy diet I can switch over too without regaining what I have lost? I am curious about low calorie or low fat diets? Are these effective and if so how many calories and fat grams should I have per day in order to lose about 40 more pounds? Anyone with any advice, please help. Thanks so much! Kim
Personally I would look at a plan that gradually increases your carbohydrate intake while keeping your calories stable. Try to ensure you are eating agood range of fruit and vege plus complex carbs such as bread, oatmeal, rice, potatoes etc. Just stay off the junk food.
You don't say how much exercise you are doing? or what your current weight, height and age are.
