Bottom line: you wasted the money you spent on those pills. There is no quick fix to weight loss.
During those 8 months during which you gained weight, what changed in your lifestyle? I'm betting that either you became less active, or began eating less healthy, or a combination of both. Those two behaviors are the usual cause for weight gain, and to lose weight, you need to do the opposite: get active and eat healthy. A lot of people don't want to hear it, but it's the truth.
