I have recently read coffee elevated cortisol levels, but apparently it is not the caffiene in coffee which does it. I drink decaffienated coffee, so I assume i'm still at risk?

No, but Dr. Perricone(author of the Perricone Promise) advocates one to switch to green tea instead of coffee since coffee raises cortisol levels. He "promised" that one could actually lose weight by making that small transition!
