Nothing wrong with eating pepper. Can essentially be eaten in unlimited amounts.
The science on black pepper and indigestion is sparse, and does not pinpoint pepper alone as being beneficial to the digestive process. The studies were conducted in India and used combinations of spices, not pepper alone. Red peppers may help relieve symptoms of dyspepsia, but evidence of a benefit is limited to a single, small study. Additionally, a recent Korean study suggests that black pepper may enhance the immune system.
