Post Trying to GAIN weight.

Im now 20, i am just under 2 metres tall and weigh a pathetic 59 kilos. Ive weighed this for around the last 3 years and cant seem to change it. Im fed up, i want to be bigger. I do regular weights and i eat a reasonable amount but my appetite is the first problem. I dont eat enough, i try to force eat but feel sick. Any natural appetite stimulants or techniques? Or chemical? I really dont care at this stage ANYTHING will do.
Secondly, i go to the bathroom every day, if ive eaten a lot sometimes even 2x a day! Its terrible, as though everything i eat just flies through my body. How can i slow that down? Again i dont care if its natural or Chemical. Thanks for listening.

You're SUPPOSED to go to the bathroom every day. Why would you want to be constipated?

To gain weight, determine how many calories you are taking in each day and add 500. This should allow you to gain about 1lb. a week. To add calories, look for calorie-dense foods. Instead of fresh fruit, eat dried; instead of water, drink fruit juices and milk; instead of popcorn, eat nuts or nut butters. You might also want to consider adding one or two protein shakes to your daily routine.

Adding food to your diet will take time. Increase by a little each day to avoid gaining fat.

You've mentioned that you work out; what is your workout routine like? You might want to post on the Exercise and Fitness board as well for tips on bulking workouts.

I am also trying gain weight. I have been eating alot of Burger King food.

lol! Stop eating burger king food to start unless you just want to get fat. Eating more means eating more complex carbs, lean protein and good fats. Burger king will give you low quality fatty meat, a ton of saturated fat and alot of simple carbs. You want to gain weight but you still want to keep the fat levels under control. Eating alot of carbs when bulking will add some fat to your body anyway so you don't need to give it a helping hand by adding junk food to your diet. Not to mention the effect on your heart.

If you have a problem eating, don't try to up your intake too much too soon. Gradually take it up. You can also try using a weight gainer supplement which will give you quality protein, carbs and fat, but in a drink form which might be easier for you to pallette.

Sunshine .. eating Burget King will, likely , help you gain weight, but it is more likely to be fat than muscle and thats not usually good.

=)

Not to say you shouldn't eat there ever, just that you might want to consider other options for increasing yur calorie intake.

Are you working out? As you eat more calories to gain weight, you will also want to work out to make good use of those calories. Assuming you are a woman, you do not have to worry about 'bulking' up like the Incredible Hulk (from the 80s). It takes a lot of time, effort and testosterone to do that ;-D
