JUICE PLUS? ANYONE HEAR OF IT? - Diet & Nutrition Message Board

Have any of you heard of Juice Plus or know of anyone on it? Is it worth the money???????? For those of you who don't know about it it's your "fruits and veggies captured into pills." My mother in law is convinced it does wonders for you and i think it's a waste of money if you ask me. It's 40/month . Basically the fruit and veggies are picked at the time they are most ripe and dried and put into pills. nothing else is added. But I would like to hear from anyone who knows anything about it.

Don't know much about this but it sounds like an unhealthy, money making con.

1) The nutrients and vitamins you get from eating solid fruits and veggies far outweighs the benefits of "juiced" fruits and vegetables. And the pills you're talking about are not even juiced fruits and veggies.

2) taking these pills instead of eating your fruits and veggies like a normal person is going to mean that you're not going to be as full (you're eating less solid food) so you're either going to be hungry all the time or you're going to end up eating more.

3) taking these pills instead of eating your fruits and veggies like a normal person means that you're not developing healthy eating habits. Do you plan on being on these pills permanently? I don't think so.

4) 40/month may sound cheap but the money you may save buying this instead of real fruits and veggies you will spend buying other food to help fill you up.

OJ Simpson used to be a spokesman for this company.

OJ Simpson made a testimonial video claiming that the
product cured his arthritis.

Later OJ of course went on trial for murder. As you
may remember, his defense was that he had arthritis.

The company then stopped claiming that the product
was a cure for arthritis. They have also been found to
have made other false and misleading claims.

The products are sold by distributors in a pyramid scheme
and they are often involved in spamming.
