My weight gain was from Celexa, so another ssri. I hadn't heard about the tyrosine, so can't comment on that (except I don't think tyrosine would hurt). But I did find it was the most difficult weight to get off I had ever experienced. I did a really clean plan for several months (like about three) that normally would have resulted in weight loss . . . nothing. Then, in the course of about 2 weeks 5 pounds came off. Then nothing for another 6 weeks. Then 3 pounds came off. And on and on in fits and starts.
So, plug along and don't get frustrated. My theory is it just take a little time for the body to recuperate from the metabolism and whatever else changed the drug induced.
Kicking up exercise ought to help. Also, you might want to try cutting down on grains, especially wheat, as much as possible. I find it helps with both situations. |
