| | Scoliosis and back spasms.
Well, hi, Im new to this forum.
Im a 19 year old female and was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was in 6th grade when they did the back checks. Its not that bad, a year ago is was 18 degrees.
About last November, I started to get this small pain in my right side, where my kidney was. It slowly got more painful, so the point that when I laid down on that side, I had to curl my leg up to not feel any pain.
So, I went to the doctor thinking I had a kidney problem, and she told me that what I had was muscle spasms, which were caused by my scolosis. So, she gave me muscle relaxers and some motion. Im not a huge fan of medication, so I only took them when the pain was bad, and it eventually went away.
Fast forward til about a month ago. I started getting the same pain, but in my left side. And now I have it in my right too, so its on both sides. Its not a terrible pain, but if I stretch the wrong way or move too quickly, it hurts pretty bad. Im a full time student and have a part time job, so its really hard to me to find time to go to the doctor, and if muscle relaxers only temporarily fixed the problem, I dont think Id want to go back on them.
Has anyone else had this problem, and got permanent relief?
