Question How to lose weight, with out much exercise?

I'm 18, I'm 5'5ish, and ike 172lbs. I want to lose lots of weight but i dont really like exercise at all + I have asmtha(sp?) so i cant really even exercise that much if i wanted to. I eat a lot, but everytime i try to not eat...I just get hungrier and eat more later. Any ideas on what\what not to eat? Thanks!

i suggest talking to your dr to see what kind of excercise would be ok for you - maybe u can do moderate activities, but even getting daily walks in would help burn off some calories.

what kind of foods do you eat? the type of foods you eat may digest too quickly, causing you to be hungry sooner.

things that help curb apetite
-some protein with every meal
-fiberous carbs (whole grain products like whole wheat, veggies)
-eating whole foods (foods in natural, or close to natural state)
- i love oatmeal. its nutritious and filling.
-drinking more water

I take it you have exercise induced asthma, I do also and it doesn't stop me, just bring your inhaler if you use one and use it a half hour before and you'll do fine, start out slow to give your body an adjustment period. First see your Dr and he/she can better advise as to what you can use.

I lost 20lbs on the South Beach Diet w/out exercising. I've just started exercising in the past few weeks and now I've lost 22lbs and I'm only 3lbs away from my goal weight.

As far as the asthma, I also have asthma and I just use my inhaler on my way to the gym. Asthma should not stop anyone from exercising. As long as you're proactive and use your inhaler, you shouldn't have a problem.

"weight" loss is possible without exercise. The principal stays the same, you must just eat fewer calories than your body burns in a day.

If you don't exercise it means you'll just have to eat less that someone who does exercise.

But don't not eat. The only thing worse than eating too many calories is eating too few. The point of exercise is not really to lose "weight" but to build and tone fat burning muscle.
