stay2gether,
All fats have 9 calories per gram (carbs and protein have 4 calories per gram). Sunflower seeds are high high high in fat -- this is what makes it worthwhile for manufacturers to make sunflower oil out of them.
It doesn't matter whether the fats are "good" fats or "bad" fats -- calories is calories!

Nutritionists are trying to tell us that when we eat something that's high in fats, we should choose certain types over others. This is good for our health in general. But too many calories (in this case from the fats in sunflower seeds) makes us gain weight, which is not good for our health (unless you happen to be too skinny, of course).
