Yes, "wheat bread" is no more nutritious than white bread (in fact, sometimes it is just white bread dyed brown!) unless it specifies that it is "100% whole wheat" bread. If it is, it will say that on the package: 100% whole wheat.
Any bread can say that it's "wheat bread"... after all, all bread is made of wheat.
But only breads made with 100% whole wheat flour are allowed to say "100% whole wheat".
Roman Meal is a good one.
Also, you can read the ingredients; make sure "whole wheat flour" is the first ingredient listed, not white flour, bleached flour, or just plain "flour".
