The beauty, and health benefits, about fiber is that the calories slowly enter the blood stream, allowing the body to handle the calorie load
gradually. If you consume too many calories at one sitting, and aren't able to burn off the excess calories through exercise, you cause too many calories to enter your body at one time, overloading your system, and causing all kinds of havoc.
